Gym and fitness suites
Our contemporary refurbished gym provides a modern, vibrant and inspiring training environment, split into five distinct areas catering for cardio, free weights, fixed weights, stretching and functional training.
Our equipment is supplied by Technogym and includes the latest cardio machines from the Skill Line range for improving Power, Speed, Stamina and Agility.
Turnstiles at the entrance to the gym keep a track on occupancy levels within the facility, which are displayed on the Saints Sport homepage, giving you advance warning of when the gym is reaching capacity.
Cardio
A dedicated cardio area houses several spin, recline and upright bikes, Watt Bikes, an Assault AirBike, treadmills, cross-trainers, Cybex SPARCs, rowers, and stair climbers.
Free weights
The gym is home to six combo racks and lifting platforms, supplemented in the free weights section by a range of barbells, plates, benches (Nordic, Adjustable, Chin Dip Hip, Back Extension), dumbbells, kettlebells and slam balls.
Resistance
Resistance machines are also available including seated row, leg extension, leg curl, leg press, seated chest press, seated shoulder press and a Lat machine.
Functional training
The diversity of our equipment, which also includes an Origin Fitness Functional Training Rig, opens up the possibilities of creating unique and exciting workouts.
Gym conditions of use
All gym users are asked to read and make themselves aware of the University gyms conditions of use, as well as the main Saints Sport terms and conditions, before using the main Saints Sport gym.
Health Commitment Statement
All facility Users All users are asked to read, make themselves aware, and accept the Health Commitment Statement prior to using any of the facilities at University Park.
Quiet gym sessions
We know that a quieter, more relaxed environment can make a big difference for some members. To support this, we’re introducing dedicated quiet hours:
- Thursdays | 6:30am – 12:00pm
- Sundays | 8:00am – 12:00pm
During these times:
- No music will be played in the gym
- We encourage everyone to help keep the space calm and respectful
- You’re welcome to bring your own music and wear headphones
These sessions are designed to create a more relaxed, quieter space – ideal if you prefer to focus and train without background noise, or if a typical gym setting feels overwhelming.
Whether you’re a current member or new to the gym, everyone is welcome.
