Rifle scholar goes for gold at SSS event
Over one weekend at the end of November the Rifle Grand Prix was hosted at Edinburgh University with clubs competing from multiple Scottish Universities. St Leonards College Master scholar Rachel Martin, from America, came away from the weekend with Gold in her category as well as winning Gold overall. Rachel shoots air rifle in the Class A category which is the highest class for shooting.
As well as Rachel’s success, the University rifle club came away with a fantastic result, winning 7 out of 8 categories. The competing teams of 8, 4 and Ladies Triad won on both days as well as on Saturday in both A Class pairs and individuals as well as various other podium finishes in Novice and B Class categories.
