A Swim across St Andrews

Following the success of Loch Lomond, Triathlon and Road Cycling Club swam from East Sands to West Sands in a joint effort with East Fife Triathlon Club.

In the early morning, the two club swam 2,500m between the two iconic St Andrews beaches. Conditions were ideal with relatively warm waters and calm conditions and the contingency of 14 St Andrews swimmers and 16 EFT swimmers all made it safely from one beach to the other.

Although there were no shark sightings as some of them had feared, they did get to experience a unique view of St Andrews looking in from the sea. With safety cover organised by EFT and the support of St Andrews students George Dance and Maya Grimm (on kayaks) and Aidan Higgins (on communications), everything went smoothly.

A huge congratulations to Angus Gray, Charlie Jenner, David Quinn (who got the days confused but still managed to make it somehow), Hanna Andrejczuk, Hayley McLennan, Maria Ramirez Rodriguez, Millie Tunnicliffe, Nathaniel Rice, Peter Boardman, Rachel Parker, Raph Robeson, Rosalind Van der Does De Willebois, Theo Murton, and Valentine Salinger.
