The St Andrews Challenge

200 competitors from 14 universities attend the St Andrews Challenge, which is the largest student clay shooting competition in the UK.
The day consists of 50 sporting and a 100-bird flush, with teams comprising of 4 guns. In the evening, the day is celebrated at Welly Ball, which is attended by more than 2000 students and last year raised £30,000 the chosen charity, the Charlie Waller Trust. The prize-giving takes place at the dinner, which is the largest black tie one in Scotland each year.
