The Tennis Centre offers lessons to both members and non-members, across all ability levels and age groups, individually or as part of a group.
Individual lessons
Individual private tennis lessons can be booked Monday – Friday, 8am – 8pm depending on the availability of the coach, and make use of four indoor and four outdoor courts at University Park.

Group Tennis lessons
Beginner and Intermediate Group Lessons
Over a period of 8 weeks players taking part in our beginner group tennis lessons will get a chance to learn the basics to improve their skills and technique to play tennis. Following our beginner lessons we are delighted to announce our new intermediate group tennis lessons. Players in this group will get a chance to progress their technical and tactical skills within specifc game situations over the 8 week block.

- We accept cancellations up to 1 week prior to the starting date, any later we cannot guarantee a refund unless we manage to fill your space.

Coaching Team
Claire McCulloch
Director of Tennis, LTA Level 3
Coaching Experience:
Claire joined the University from The LTA where she held the role of Disability Competitions Manager, managing a national calendar of events for players with a disability and overseeing the GB Disability Tennis Teams. She graduated with a Masters in Sports Management in 2016 from the University of Stirling, where she also held the role of University tennis Coordinator. Claire is an LTA Level 3 coach, and has experience in running tennis clubs, creating programs for both juniors and adults, as well as creating important community links with schools and external organisations. As Director of Tennis, Claire oversees the tennis programme at St Andrews, managing the student club, the performance squads and BUCS Teams, the development of a thriving community programme and workforce development opportunities.
Euan Bell
Tennis Coach, LTA Level 3
Coaching Experience:
Euan is an LTA Level 3 coach who has a great deal of experience developing tennis programmes both in Fife and at the university, coaching players of all ages and levels. As a full time tennis coach, Euan supports the development of student and community tennis program. During semesters, he delivers sessions to performance and competitive squad players in large groups, small groups, and individually on a weekly basis.
Johnny Randall
Tennis Coach, LTA Level 3
Coaching Experience:
Johnny is an LTA Level 3 coach with experience developing inclusive club tennis programmes and working with players in county development teams. As a full-time tennis coach, Johnny supports the development of the student, staff, community, and junior tennis programmes at St Andrews. He is passionate about our sport and the benefits it can bring to an individual’s lifestyle no matter their stage of life. As the newest member of our team, he is excited to build on the recent improvements we have made to the programme we have on offer.
