The University of St Andrews has renewed its partnership with Eden Mill St Andrews for the 2025–26 academic year, following a landmark season for the University’s Performance Golf Team.

The renewed agreement sees Eden Mill continue as an Official Partner of Saints Golf, the University’s student golf programme, after a year that saw the Performance Team crowned British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) national match play champions for the third time in four years. The season also witnessed a historic double in the R&A Student Tour Series, with golf scholars Judd Sundelson and Judy Joo claiming both the Men’s and Women’s Order of Merit titles.

As part of the partnership, Eden Mill branding will continue to feature on the official Saints Golf clothing range worn by all competitive teams, including the University’s top Performance Golf Scholars.

The collaboration is rooted in a shared commitment to excellence, innovation, and the rich heritage of St Andrews. Eden Mill’s brand-new Distillery and Visitor Centre, located on the banks of the Eden Estuary in Guardbridge, opened to the public on Saturday, October 11, 2025. The purpose-built, sustainable facility will become a major local landmark and tourist destination, offering:

  • Immersive gin and whisky tours that explore the art and science of distillation
  • The Lookout cocktail bar, a top-floor venue with panoramic views of the Eden Estuary
  • A distillery shop for spirits and gifts
  • A state-of-the-art golf simulator, allowing visitors to practice their swing in style

Ian Muir, Director of Golf at the University of St Andrews, said:
“Our shared history and deep-rooted heritage in St Andrews creates a powerful foundation, but it’s Eden Mill’s relentless drive for innovation, quality, and success that truly resonates with the values we champion in our programme. This partnership feels like a perfect alignment of purpose and passion.”

Hannah Ingram, Head of Marketing at Eden Mill, added:
“With our unique location on their campus, we have worked closely with the University for several years and so we are delighted to continue to support the Saints Golf team as an Official Partner. They have had a phenomenal year and it’s fantastic to see this young talent from all over the world nurtured in the Home of Golf. We look forward to seeing what they go on to achieve with the Performance Golf Programme over the coming months.”

The Eden Campus, repurposed by the University in 2010, is a hub for green innovation and a key part of the University’s ambition to become carbon neutral by 2035.

Saints Golf continues to offer one of the most comprehensive student golf experiences in the world, with access to all seven St Andrews Links courses, world-class coaching, and international competition opportunities. The programme supports players of all levels, from beginners to elite scholars competing across Europe and beyond.

The University of St Andrews Performance Golf Programme is supported and funded through the 600 Club, a community of donors and supporters around the world, alongside The R&A, and the St Andrews Links Trust, ensuring that the next generation of student golfers can thrive at the Home of Golf.
