University of St Andrews Rugby Club secures new sponsorship with Falside Mill
The University of St Andrews is proud to announce a new three-year sponsorship agreement between the University Rugby Football Club and Falside Mill, a beautifully renovated events venue located just minutes from St Andrews.
Beginning in the 2025–2026 academic year, this partnership will see Falside Mill and the University Rugby Club collaborate on a range of events, including the much-anticipated annual Movember Ball. The sponsorship reflects a shared commitment to community engagement and charitable fundraising.
Last year’s Movember Ball, held at Falside Mill, welcomed over 800 attendees and raised approximately £8,000 for Movember. Under the new agreement, the venue will continue to host the event each November, cementing its place as a flagship occasion in the Rugby Club’s social calendar.
Across the University, Movember fundraising efforts have generated over £120,000 in the past three years. In 2024:
- St Andrews ranked #1 in Scotland and 13th in the UK for university fundraising.
- The University Rugby Club raised a record-breaking £21,000, topping the charts within St Andrews.
- Movember activities included MoDarts, a shavedown, weekly sea dips, mental health talks, and more.
Falside Mill offers a unique and versatile setting for all occasions—from wedding receptions and family gatherings to corporate meetings and product launches. With a range of in-house furnishings and expert advice available, Falside Mill provides the perfect backdrop for truly memorable events.
Ollie Webb, Club Captain of the University Rugby Club, said:
“All of us at Saints Rugby are incredibly proud to welcome Falside Mill as our official sponsor. Last year’s Movember Ball at Falside was a standout moment for the club, and we’re excited to build on that success together with future events. Their support means more than just the venue though, our new partnership is one rooted in shared values of community, charity, and celebration. With the backing of Falside Mill, we’re confident this season will be our most impactful yet, both on and off the pitch.”
Alyson and David Burns, Falside Mill, added:
“We are delighted to sponsor St Andrews University Rugby Club. The energy, commitment and team spirit they bring is inspiring and we’re proud to be a part of their journey. Wishing them all the best ahead of this year’s season”
