Leading the way in Women’s Football
Second year Neuroscience with Organic Chemistry student and marketing representative for University of St Andrews Football Club Emory Anderson, attended the British University and Colleges Sport(BUCS) Women in Football Leadership Event in Manchester last November.
The event aimed to provide a platform for women in football to share experiences, discuss ways to overcome barriers and improve gender diversity in the sport. Throughout the day, participants took park in lectures and breakout rooms to discuss their views from their own club and how new direction could tackle any issues.
Emory’s attendance at the event highlights the University of St Andrew Football Club’s commitment to promoting women’s involvement in football and empowering them to take on leadership roles within the sport. The club hopes to send more committee members next year to demonstrate their commitment to make their club a better place.
